"Piano Man" means to me that we should always own up to what we really are. In this case, the Piano Man plays a song to talk to everyone inside of the bar that no matter what is happening in your life that music can lift your spirits and bring you together with the people around you. The rest of the songs all come to me in a similar way, saying that if you are always yourself, then people will always accept you for who you are. If you act as yourself and treat people the way you would want to be treated then people will have only the option to accept you for who you are. They also speak to me that no matter how bad things can get or how bad they seem, as long as you keep pushing to make it through then you will come out on the other side a better person. The only song that sticks out from the others in My Playlist, I believe, is "She Thinks My Tractors Sexy," to me this song is really just about how it is a fun song to listen to, it is a very enjoyable, upbeat, and catchy song. Whenever I hear this song all it makes me want to do is sing along to it, even though I am an awful singer, and enjoy myself as much as I can. Looking over my songs I like to think that they all have a valuable meaning behind them, mostly saying that it is okay to be yourself and that nothing can hold you down, but yourself, therefor just don't let you hold yourself back.
It is great to be what we really are, it makes life much easier and more comfortable. Never lose this lifestyle and always enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI love Bohemian Rhapsody. I used to always sing that in the shower and my parents would yell at me to shut up. And I like the meaning of the Piano Man song. You have a good taste in music.
